Chelsea footballer Raheem Sterling has launched a creative youth engagement programme via his eponymous foundation, titled The Making of Me, in partnership with The National Portrait Gallery, giving 30 young people the chance to enhance their artistic skills and knowledge through 12 workshops and masterclasses.

The Raheem Sterling Foundation supports young people to further their careers and quality of life, and the charity shared the news on Instagram, posting 'Combining photography and portraiture, the programme will enable participants to produce a piece of art by collaborating with photographers, filmmakers and digital producers to explore themes of self-identity, representation, place and community. It will aim to strengthen their sense of community and belonging as they explore themes from their own experiences and perspectives'.
